Electric driving
Do you have an electric car?
Through Vattenfall / municipality you can apply for a public charging station. If you would like your own charging point in your driveway, you can apply for one yourself with an energy supplier. The costs are then of course for yourself.
Requesting a public charging station
A network of public charging stations will be established in the municipality in the coming years. At public charging stations of our cooperation partner Vattenfall InCharge you always charge 100% from wind generated electricity from Dutch wind turbines of Vattenfall.
There may not yet be a public charging station in your area. You can apply for a public charging station from Vattenfall. The charging station costs nothing, you only pay for charging the car. Check the Vattenfall website for more information about charging an electric car in public spaces. You can also submit an application there.
How does it work?
Vattenfall tests your application for a public charging station for completeness. If the application is complete, Vattenfall sends a recommendation to the municipality for a location proposal. The municipality decides on the proposed location. If the location proposal is approved, the municipality publishes it via a traffic decree. After this, the official six-week objection period begins. During the objection period, Vattenfall requests the electricity connection from the grid operator. After the objection period has expired, they install the public charging station.

- If there are two 3-phase cars charging they each get 3x 12 amps
- If one 1-phase car is charging then it gets 1x 16 amps
- If there are two 1-phase cars charging they also get 1x 16 amps each
The charging station always gives at least 3.7 kW to electric cars that are docked.
What can I do if the charging station is often occupied?
Report this via the Vattenfall InCharge.
How do I stay informed about new charging stations in my area?

Who decides if there will be a charging station and where it will be placed?
We do this together with our cooperation partner Vattenfall InCharge. Every six months, Vattenfall InCharge and the municipality look at the performance of charging stations and proposals for potential locations from residents. Vattenfall InCharge looks at where charging stations are frequently used and, in cooperation with the municipality and based on information from the grid operator, chooses a suitable location nearby.
