Registering as a non-resident in the Netherlands (RNI)
BSN (Citizen Service Number).
You need a BSN for contacts with the Dutch government. For example, opening a Dutch bank account, an employment contract, education, healthcare or taxes. Nationality is not important when registering in the Register of Non-Residents (RNI). Citizens from all countries can register in the RNI. You can register in the Netherlands in 2 ways depending on your situation:
You will not stay in the Netherlands for more than 4 months? If so, you will need a Burgerservicenummer as of January 6, 2014. For registration and a BSN you can go to the municipality of Eindhoven or to one of the 17 other RNI counter . These are Alkmaar, Almelo, Amsterdam, Breda, Den Haag, Doetinchem, Groningen, Goed, Heerlen, Leeuwarden, Leiden, Nijmegen, Rotterdam, Terneuzen, Utrecht, Venlo, Zwolle. For this you need to make an appointment with the relevant municipality.
You will stay in the Netherlands for more than 4 months? Then you must register in the municipality where you live or will live. Is this the municipality of Gemert-Bakel? Then look at Settling in from abroad in the BRP. You will also receive a BSN with this registration.

Extract RNI
Are you no longer registered at an address in the Netherlands and want to request an extract with your personal data on it? This can be done at one of the counter . There are costs involved.
