Requesting digitally
This can be done in two ways.
Through the municipality
- To apply for a Certificate of Good Conduct digitally, you need DigiD . Please note! There are costs associated with this product. You can pay this with iDeal.

Through the employer
- This is faster and cheaper than a paper application through the municipality. With a digital application, the employer and employee submit an application together.

Apply in person at the municipality
Make an appointment at the municipality where you are registered and bring the completed application form and your proof of identity with you. You can download the form from the website of the Ministry of Security and (Justis).
- Valid proof of identity (of the applicant and if authorized, a copy of proof of identity of the applicant and the original of the authorized person)
- Fully completed application form VOG (you usually get this from your employer). The application must have a signature from the employer or organization.
- An authorization form (if the applicant cannot come to the municipality themselves).

Free VOG for volunteers as of Jan. 1, 2015
As of January 1, 2015, a larger group of volunteers can claim a free VOG: volunteers who work with children or people with intellectual disabilities. However, the application must be done digitally. For more information, visit the website of service .
Apply for a VOG as a company?
Important text: You do not apply for the VOG for legal persons atmunicipality of Gemert-Bakel. You can obtain this from Justis.
The application for a VOG for legal entities (VOGRP) is different from the application for a certificate for natural persons.

Fees
Applying for a VOG in writing through the municipality costs €41.35. You pay this cost directly at the counter when you apply.
How long does it take?
The Ministry of Security and Justice will send the statement to your address. This may take 2 to 4 weeks.
