Youth Council
The Gemert-Bakel Youth Council is there for the young people in our municipality. The Youth Council can give solicited and unsolicited advice to the municipal government on topics that concern young people. Depending on the subject, this may be to the Municipal Executive or the Municipal Council.
It may sound a bit dull, but the Youth Council does make a difference. When it comes to living in our community, the bus that runs (or not), the new location for the CoCo or places for sports or chilling out.
Composition
The Youth Council consists of 8 young people ages 12 to 22. There are also 2 secured seats. This means that from the student councils of the Commanderij college (location Doregraaf and Sleutelbosch) students can participate. They meet four times a year. The meetings are open to the public.
Meeting
The next meeting is on Nov. 28 at 6:15-7:15 p.m. at City Hall.
