CPO project on the Paterslaan in De Rips
The municipality of Gemert-Bakel wants to offer future residents the opportunity to develop and (have developed) a housing project within the expansion site at the Paterslaan by means of Collective Private Ownership (CPO). The idea is to realize nine ground-level homes for starters, people moving on and the elderly. The main focus is on terraced houses, semi-detached houses and/or semi-bungalows.
Collective Private Ownership (CPO)
In CPO, future residents come together and work as a group to oversee the project with help from professionals. This means that they (as a group) decide what the homes will look like after which they choose a contractor together who will build the homes. So the future residents do not stack bricks themselves, but we have the direction, control and together they can benefit from economies of scale.
Lot allocation
The plan area will be allocated to one CPO association that meets the selection criteria at the time of application. If several groups meet these criteria, lots will be drawn among them. The CPO association that is finally selected is then responsible for the mutual allocation/distribution of the individual building lots within the plan area.
