  • Intention to establish name Roland de Kroonpad in Bakel

The mayor and aldermen have the intention to establish a new name for the sandy path between De Buytencamp 3 and 5 and emerging between Hoekendaal 11 and 13 in Bakel. The reason for this is that, by establishing the name, the objects in the public space can be registered and the path will be included in the navigation systems, which will increase accessibility by the emergency services. The public space naming group recommended the name Roland de Kroonpad, which was chosen because the path to be named is partly adjacent to the lot where the former home of Roland de Kroon (died January 2020) stood. The associated Roland de Kroon foundation is dedicated to the Bakel community.
