Intention to establish name Roland de Kroonpad in Bakel

Mayor and aldermen intend to establish a new name for the dirt road between De Buytencamp 3 and 5 and emerging between Hoekendaal 11 and 13 in Bakel.

The reason is that, by establishing the name, the objects in the public space can be registered and the path will be included in the navigation systems, increasing accessibility by emergency services.

The public space naming group recommended the name Roland de Kroonpad.

This name was chosen because the path to be named is partially adjacent to the lot where the former home of Roland de Kroon (died January 2020) stood. The associated Roland de Kroon foundation is dedicated to the Bakel community.

The Board of Mayor and Aldermen adopted the opinion.
