City Council
The City Council is the highest governing body. It governs in general terms and, as the representative of the people, it monitors the municipal executive. The council has the final say on how the municipality's money is spent by adopting the municipal budget. It also adopts ordinances. The mayor is chairman and the council clerk is secretary of the municipal council. They both do not have voting rights here.
