Subsidy Scheme for the Preservation of Monuments (SIM).

Do you own or manage a national monument that is not a residential building? The Subsidy Scheme for the Preservation of Monuments (SIM) supports owners of national monuments without a residential function in sober and efficient maintenance. Think of mills, chapels, churches, monasteries, but also cemeteries. The maintenance subsidy is intended for regular maintenance costs based on a six-year maintenance plan. Because of the need for sustainability and the high energy costs, it is extra relevant to mention that it is possible, in the subsidy application, in addition to regular maintenance, to have research conducted into sustainability options. The website below contains all relevant information, such as the required models for the multi-year budget, implementation guidelines, forms and other practical information about the application. Each year you can apply for the grant from February 1 to March 31. Since the preparation (inspection report, photos, budget and work plan) takes some time, make sure to start on time.
